How to Convert From Peso to Bitcoin

Before we do anything else, we need Bitcoin in a wallet.

Because its the Philippines, I would suggest opening an account at either:

1. Coins.Ph
2. or BuyBitcoin.ph

Number 1 has my referral link and I have not tried #2. Sorry!

Coins is very easy to use. It has a phone app and a web app. And you can deposit money on it using 7-11, online payment, bank over the counter payment, and a couple of Padala centers. Most of all they are accredited by Central Bank.

Go and register at the web app for now then download the app.

How to Buy Bitcoin in the Philippines

Now that you have an account, you can see several options to load your "wallet". Just choose one that is most convenient to you and the one with the least charge for transfer. So far, I've only ever tried 7-11.

Update: I tried Cebuana Lhuillier to deposit to CoinsPH and its cheaper. It also reflects automatically so you dont have long to wait for it to reflect on your account.

Open up you Coins after a couple of minutes to check if its already updated. When you already have money in your Coins Ph account, then you can transfer or convert it into  Bitcoin at current prices.

Now you have Bitcoin!
